Compare the flight and complete onward journey to choose the most convenient airport. Use these airport codes when searching for flights.<\/p>\n<h4>2. How long does it take to reach Zermatt from the airport?<\/h4>\n<p>As a guide, the journey by train takes around 3\u00bd hours from Zurich Airport and around 4 hours from Geneva or Basel Airport. Please check the timetable for your specific connection. For Milan Malpensa Airport (MXP), check the onward train or transfer connection for your travel date; journey times depend on the route and connections.<\/p>\n<h4>3. How do I get to Zermatt?<\/h4>\n<p>Zermatt is car-free and can be reached by train. If you are driving, park in T\u00e4sch and continue to Zermatt by shuttle train or an authorised taxi.<\/p>\n<h4>4. Can I drive directly to the hotel?<\/h4>\n<p>Private cars cannot drive into Zermatt. Drive to T\u00e4sch, park there and continue to Zermatt. For mountain properties, an additional mountain railway, cable car or walking route may be required; see the property-specific arrival information.<\/p>\n<h4>5. How long does the train from T\u00e4sch to Zermatt take?<\/h4>\n<p>The shuttle journey takes approximately 12 minutes. Trains normally run every 20 minutes; please check the current timetable for your travel date.<\/p>\n<h4>6. How do I get around Zermatt?<\/h4>\n<p>Zermatt is easy to explore on foot. Electric taxis and local electric buses are also available. Your hotel can advise on the best route from the station.<\/p>\n<h4>7. What is the walking route from Zermatt railway station to Hotel Alpina?<\/h4>\n<p>Hotel Alpina is at Englischer Viertel 5, 3920 Zermatt, in the village centre, less than ten minutes\u2019 walk from the railway station. Use the hotel address for turn-by-turn directions. Please go to Hotel Tannenhof, Englischer Viertel 3, to check in; it is directly opposite Alpina.<\/p>\n<h4>9. Is there a lift, luggage storage and ski storage?<\/h4>\n<p>There is no lift from the train station and no elevator at the Hotel Alpina available. At check-in, the team at Hotel Tannenhof can advise where you may leave luggage or ski equipment.<\/p>\n<h3>Booking, opening dates and tourist tax<\/h3>\n<h4>10. Reception is not staffed around the clock, so the team needs to provide you with the appropriate check-in instructions.<\/p>\n<h3>Rooms, families and pets<\/h3>\n<h4>13. What is available in the rooms?<\/h4>\n<p>Hotel Alpina offers single, double and triple rooms. All rooms have a flat-screen TV, radio, hairdryer, safe, shower gel and free Wi-Fi. Some rooms have a shared shower and toilet, while others have a private bathroom. Please select or request a room with a private bathroom if this is important to you. Baby cots are available on request and must be confirmed by the hotel.<\/p>\n<h3>Dining and included meals<\/h3>\n<h4>14.
